We've had our power flicker on and off since about 5:30, but it's been gone gone since 6:30. I've got the candles up and the kids are gaming, hahaha.
Chris is working late tonight and we don't have a gas stove so we're patiently waiting for him to pick up some Chinese food. I had planned on making some homemade cheeseburger mac&cheese :( the baked kind with hamburger & bacon, but this darn power outage ruined those plans.
Ah well, the kids will have their treat tomorrow. :)
I finally did my toes late this afternoon. Managed to get them done right before the power went out. I couldn't do Izzy's jams because of the lack of electricity but I ended up just painting her toenails pink.

Gosh it's so dark!! I'm usually kinda scared of being alone in the dark, but when I'm with my kids, lol I have no fears. I had to look in bottom cupboards and old boxes for our candles and didn't even care about the spiders because let's be honest, wtf we needed light.
It's just funny how that happens. When other people are scared or sad, the fears or sadness that I felt just disappear. It's like mom mode or tank mode takes over and it's like, "never fear, mommy is here!"
K well I sure hope Chris gets home soon with that food because I'm going to be forced to eat all the ice cream in the house! Hahahaha just kidding! ;)
